Footloose short shorts edition

And we are back again at another staging of the premier old hits party “FOOTLOOSE” (the ‘Short Shorts’ edition) at the Mas Camp. Now I love to see my women clad in their sexy shorts so it was a no brainer where I was ending up tonight.

Tickets were a $1000 presold and $1,200 at the gate. There were also 2 for 1 deals for the ladies so you know they would be out in numbers. I arrived around 12am to a long line of patrons trying to get in. Once inside, patrons were spread across the venue, with a huge bar placed in the centre.

The party was still in the warm-up stages as patrons made their way in, but the DJ playing took a long time to step up the tempo. The vibes really started when ZJ Liquid took the reigns and played some Calypso and Soca hits and got everyone moving.

YUSH 90s VS 2000s Dec. 24.2016

If you know me, you know I repeatedly say “if you play 90s and early 2000s music at any event, it cannot fail” and YUSH personifies this. YUSH is a premier old hits party that believes in ‘no long talking, just straight music’. They played the best of the 90s and early 2000s Hip-Hop, Dancehall, Soca, and everything else.

This edition was dubbed 90s vs 2000s with DJs facing off each other to prove which era of music is the best. In the 90s corner there was ZJ liquid and Delano from Renaissance Disco. Representing for the 2000s was Chromatic and Chopper Shot so this was sure to be a treat. Continue reading

Mello vibes(triple threat) Oct.31.2015

Mello Vibes aka “Big People Thing”, is a well known, ongoing event that brings the best of what Dancehall, Hip-Hop and Soca has to offer. The 70s 80s and 90s are arguably the best years for these genres and with the massive crowd at tonight’s staging, this theory has bearing.

Hosted at The New Mas Camp (The parking lot of The National Stadium) Tonight’s edition is dubbed triple threat due to the three DJ’s who will be entertaining patrons, namely: DJ Marvin, ZJ liquid, and Krazy Kris all three veteran DJ’s who know how to rock a party.
